RAW RECORDING
This is the sound of the recording completely unprocessed, as it would be heard when production and recording have wrapped up.
MIX
This is the sound of various post production processes such as EQ, compression, panning applied to the raw tracks. The mix process is designed to bring out the clarity and character of the whole production, remove unwanted noise and or muddiness, and apply effects to sweeten the performance.
MASTER
This is the final sound of the recording after it has been fully optimized and formatted for distribution on CD, streaming services, and/or vinyl or cassette.

I work at Temple of the Trees, Orbit Audio, and various other studios, where I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of artists, including, Banks, Koffi Olomidé, Ronnue, Society of the Silver Cross, The Accused A.D., Erik Hansen, Skelator and many others.
MIXING & MASTERING
After we have the tracks recorded, it's time to shape them into the sound you hear in your head. With experience across many genres, I'll bring my creative insight together with your preferences to elevate your project. Whether you're aiming for a crisp, modern sound or a vintage vibe, I'm comfortable taking it in any direction.
Before the world hears your music, it needs to be ready for every format and platform. Mastering isn't just making your mix louder. My goal when mastering is to preserve and protect the integrity of your mix as it gets pushed through all types of consumer systems and formats. I bring years of experience mastering for both digital distribution and vinyl production, so your project sounds right wherever it lands. I'm happy to deliver a punchy, modern master, a subtle dynamic sound, or anything in-between.

REMOTE MIXING AND MASTERING
Wherever you are, we can mix your record together online. Send me your tracks and a few references, and your song will get the same treatment you’d get with an attended mix. I'll bring my creative insight together with your preferences to elevate your project.
Whether you're aiming for a crisp, modern sound or a vintage vibe, I'm comfortable taking it in the direction you want. We'll talk through each step and revise, until it sounds the way you hear it in your head. Then I'll deliver masters ready for streaming, CD, or vinyl.

BIO
I have had a passion for music for as long as I can remember. Making my own music, as an artist has led me to a career as a producer and engineer. For years, I have run sessions producing, recording, mixing and mastering at Orbit Audio, Temple of the Trees, and other studios around Seattle. One of my specialties, as well as favorite experiences, is recording a full band, live in the same room. I'm also a program manager and instructor at Seattle Recording Arts, where I help the next generation of engineers and producers find their sound.
I'm a musician at heart. I play guitar and write songs in three Seattle bands: Heavy Metal band Skelator, Space/Psych rock band Dust Mice, and Dream/Psych band What or Who. Playing in bands keeps me connected to the artist's perspective, and I bring that into every session.
